Your Customer Base

For this post I would like to share some info I got from
a book, a book that I also written a short bookreview
about on: Homebusinessbook-ideas.blogspot.com in that book - besides reading a lot interesting info
about design - I also read about the Characteristics
of a (targeted) Customer Base.


BTC and BTB

One of the interesting things I read is about - besides
the likes and dislikes of Customers - also about what
type of Customer. Asking the Question if you are targeting
a Business to Business (BTB) audience or a Business
to Consumer (BTC) audience.

'Why is this interesting?'

Because for example in general you can expect more success
in selling Lower priced products with a large volume
to BTC and higher priced products with a lower volume
to a BTB Market. This gave me something to think asking
myself the question what market I am targetting myself.

Since this Blog is about Starting your own Home Business
some of my audience might not yet be all that familiar with
running a business making it a BTC Market, while on the other
hand there might be others that have been in (other) Business
for years already, only not have been doing Online Business
and Affiliate Marketing. So
I will have both amungst my audience, both BTC
and BTB prospects.

This is also reflected in the products you can find on
this blog you can find both higher priced products like
for example products like an Apple iPad and for example an Apple iPhone 3G 8GB - Black - Unlocked
or an other more expensive product like for example a
Cuisinart EM-200 Programmable 15-Bar Espresso Maker, Stainless Steel

or even for when you want one in your office a
Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill all relatively high priced
products that you would possibly expect a BTB Prospect to buy,
and lower priced products like for example you can find in the
lot more lower priced - Bonus - Offer. For the BTC Market.

This is a typical product for a Starting Home Business Builder
that has just begun building a Blog for doing Affiliate Marketing.
To be able to sell a large volume of such lower priced products
you will need to launch huge marketing campaigns, or as an
alternative you will need an extraordinary personalised
