In a previous post you could read about the Characteristics
of a Targeted Customer Base. You could read about

two different types of Customers,
1) Business to Business (BTB)
or 2) Business to Consumer (BTC)
(or 3) a little bit of both.)

'What I want to talk about in this post

is the things that can make
your Home Business a - Happy - One!'

Recently in a Gift Shop I saw several funny Coffee Mugs with saying
funny things about - Bosses - for example comparing 'Your Boss' with somebody
that Screams like a Sea Gull and leaves you behind with a pile of Shit...!!! :)

'I am not saying that Your Boss,
or every Boss is like that, only chances are that
you once had a Boss like that, or that - even today -
you still can totally relate to that,
and have a Monster Boss like that....,'

Anyway,

Fact is that sometimes having no Boss is something that would look like an interesting perspective,
giving you much more freedom to control your own life.

a - Happy - Perspective Don't you think...?'

Wrong!

Because chances are that like many people trying to build their own
Home Business they aren't really building a Business, and instead
only just build an other Job with possibly an even more Horrible Boss
than the Monster Boss you already have, because the Boss would be You!!!

For this post I would like to share some info I got from
a book, a book that I also written a short bookreview
about on: Homebusinessbook-ideas.blogspot.com in
that book - besides reading a lot interesting info
about design - I also read about the Characteristics
of a (targeted) Customer Base.

BTC and BTB

One of the interesting things I read is about - besides
the likes and dislikes of Customers - also about what
type of Customer. Asking the Question if you are targeting
a Business to Business (BTB) audience of a Business
to Consumer (BTC) audience. Why is this interesting?
because for example in general you can expect more success
in selling Lower priced products with a large volume
to BTC and higher priced products with a lower volume
to a BTB Market. This gave me something to think asking
myself the question what market I am targetting myself.

Since this Blog is about Starting your own Home Business
some of my audience might not yet be all that familiar with
running a business making it a BTC Market, while on the other
hand there might be others that have been in (other) Business
for years already, only not have been doing Online Business
and Affiliate Marketing. So
I will have both amungst my audience, both BTC

Re-Purposing While Keeping It Authentic

An other way you can re-purpose your content is to - especially

when you have been blogging for a longer time already -
is to use old post as inspiration to write a new post
by 'Updating' the old post or you could use some
of your older content and use

parts of the things you already wrote about and bundle
it around a specific theme, that way using that content
in an
Authentic way writing something from
a specific angle. That way you can add some
extra value to your older content.

and Re-purposing Content

So while I am writing this - for your Online Inspiration -
I will look at my 'Archive' right now if I can
find something that I could use in this Post to show
you this as an illustration. O.K. I just had a look at some
of my old posts and did find a few fragments that can
loosly fit the 'Theme' 'Freedom,

O.K. here below you can find some of the fragments

I really enjoy the Home Business Lifestyle,

As you might have read in one of my previous posts titled: MP3 Player as a Handy Tool I frequently use my MP3 Player to listen to things like Teleseminars.

Nowaday's on several Blogs you can also find things like Podcasts,
Some really Sound like actual Radio Shows with interesting guests that get interviewd and Podcasting is actually something that I have been tinking about possibly doing myself on this Blog in the Future.

Today I actually discovered an interesting blog about Podcasting, and since I know some people that have worked as DJ's and since I have been in Recording Studio's when I worked in the Music Business myself, I already do know some things about some of the technical things about Recording and for example was already somewhat familiar with things like Compression that can make a recording sound very Crisp, Clear and Professional. Integrity, Reaching People and Different Layers.

In my previous post you could see a Video about
'The Golden Circle' this video reminded me
of a book about Film Financing, that is also
related to things like Drive, Passion
and being able to really Reach People.

In the case of film financing for example it's about being able
to reach people willing to Invest in Movie Projects.

(BTW one of the 'Tools' of doing this is - as
I recall - by 'Building Critical Mass'. For
example by having some key directors, actors or producters
writing a 'Letter of Intend' being able to show potential
investors that there is a real possiblity for a possible
realisation of the project.)

Different Layers

In that book was a somewhat similar representation with Circles,
a Book written by Michael Wiese, an author working in
the Movie Business that wrote an interesting book titled:
Film & Video Financing
In that book - as I recall - the author writes about Integity and Level of Commitment
and about drive.

Although it has been a while since I read his book, one of
the other things that I recall is that it has a practical
Check-list for when you want to start a Project, and
I also recall that the author is also very much into Directing,
only - operating from Integrity - seldom finds actual
projects that totally where in alignment with his Total
Level of Commitment. making it only a 'Once in a
While Occurance' when there really was a project that
really spoke to him enough to really be wanting to do the
directing himself. Making it an 'Inner Circle' thing
that wouldn't happen very frequent, maybe only once in
two years or something like that!

Sometimes it would reach a slightly more outher layer that
his level of commitment was high enough to be willing to be
involved as a Producer, or an Excecutive Producer
something that happend a little more frequent.

Frequently there would be projects that he would be willing
to involve himself in as a Consultant.

And in an even more outher layer on a daily basis being involved
as a Publisher creating Publications about Movie Making.

My 'Outer Layer' is also about being a(n) (Online) Publisher Writing (e)Books and Blogposts, once in a while
I also get invitations for speaking in Teleseminars and things
like that.

'I do think that it can be helpful and
can be insightful to also view your own business

'Recently I read on Entrepreneurs-Journey.com how you need
to be like a 'Fish', or in other words

I Really Want to Help You

That made me think how I could possibly write something that could
be of YOUR interest for you as an (upcomming) Online Entrepreneur, How I could write
something interesting especially for YOU.

That you need to
'See though the eyes of your reader',

What I could do to really help you with your Online Business. Than I realised that one of the Successes that I

can share with you is that I enjoy writing (BTW I also have a special
writing blog where
you can learn a lot more interesting things about writing). Since
some people when they want to write a new post can be intimidated
by a Blank Page, or can suddenly get 'Writers Block',

So that gave me the idea to write this post about a special approach
for writing a blog posts. I like to share with you a special
approach for writing a blogpost. It's a rather simple procedure,

you simply start with writing what YOU
think without a need for structuring it, just writing your thoughts
to get your 'Writing Engine' running, than after a while
stop to make a summery from your writing....,

Look at the main thoughts you wrote about and than you can
structure it, put in some sub-headings and that way make it
in a good readable blog post.

Hope this technique can help you over
your fear of a 'Blank Page'.

Being Where You Want to Be.

When I was typing this I was actually writing with old fashioned Pen and Paper for a change, instead of on a Laptop.
Because when typing on a Laptop for a long time you can get a Pain in the Neck!

Currently I am still reading a Book titled: 'Do You!' and for this book I already made a START with writing a Review Post the book is about 12 Laws to Access the Power in YOU to Achieve Happiness and Success. Law Nr. 4 talks about STARTING and also talks about Living your life as if you are already where you want to be.

Since I like to be sitting in the Sun instead of creating a Pain in my Neck I wrote - the basic setup for this - Post sitting in the Sun with my Sun Glasses on, almost similar Sun Glasses as the ones you can find advertised in the Holliday Outfit for Getting into a Holliday Moode on hpshappytravel.blogspot.com

To get some Blogging Inspiration to be able to write a new post, I was just reading an article from Chis Guthrie from http://www.makemoneyontheinternet.com/top-7-tips-to-make-more-money-with-amazon-associates/ about Top 7 Tips to Make More Money with Amazon Associates, and I read how - when for example when there are several colors of a product to choose from - he links to them individually. This has the benefit of being able to offer you a Choice between several options.

Pretty Amazing!

'O.K. what I mean with writing
in a Do You! kind of Way....,'

In my previous post I wrote about the fact that I am
Re-THINKING the way I do my Blogging.

I might have been a little 'Cryptic' in my previous Post
about "Writing in a Do You! kind of way", it's
just that I was Inspired by a book presentation I saw on YouTube,
about the book that - I hadn't even read yet myself -

Recently I actually did buy the book myself and yesterday
begun reading in it, and although this book isn't particularly
about the Music Business, since I have worked in the Music Business
myself the language in the book does feel familiar. You probably
will get an actual Book Review of this book on my

Actually I think I might have already wrote one

Authenticity

What I already want to share with you about this book is one
of the remarks that I found in 'Do You!' about being authentic
and that authenticity sells and that when people think you
are authentic that they're going to support you. That's why
I said that I wrote in my previous post about writing in a
Do You! kind of Way. Meaning writing in an authentic way.

I won't say that in my previous posts you could read dis-honest
posts on this blog, only like for example with
The Lazy Way to Success: How to Do Nothing and Accomplish Everything
I have been somewhat premature by already writing about it
on several of my Blogs and on homebusinessbook-ideas.blogspot.com/
already (pre) selling it based on an Author Interview
without actually having bought it myself yet.

To be honest - although there are several books I did actually read myself - on homebusinessbook-ideas.blogspot.com/
and although the blog is only about homebusinessbook-ideas, and not particularly about homebusinessbook reviews,
there actually are a few other books that I didn't actually
read myself like for example
The 4-Hour Workweek, Expanded and Updated: Expanded and Updated, With Over 100 New Pages of Cutting-Edge Content.
because I also saw an Interview with the Author that already made me think that it would be an interesting book
and because the whole concept of controlling your own time
is so much in alignment with what I am aiming to achieve
with this blogspot.

So from now on I will keep an eye on focussing more on
letting it be (even more) authentic by just writing in
a more Do You! kind of way.

Basically only saying: "Hey I THINK this might
be an interesting book to read"

'And although that still is true making it somewhat authentic,
it would be a lot more interesting when I can say this might
be an interesting book for your because I KNOW it's
an interesting book because I actually read it'

So that I can help you better with building your own

As I sit here in my office I hear some birds outside

Success Journal

I did find something that you might like to try yourself,
it's about creating a Success Journal, atleast
that is what I do, once in a while I just jot down a time
and date and write down some of the thoughts about
my endeavors online (btw I recently discovered an
interesting site with that name you can find it at:
endeavor-online.com)

So that would be an example from something I write
in it, something like:

'Today I found a new site........, etc. etc...,'
or 'Today I discovered how to create 'Jump Breaks' for my Blogposts'

Things like that, than after a month when I have enough
'writing material' to make a Top 5 of the Month.
I just pick a few of the 'Highlights' of the month
to write down what new things I learned.

I just made my Top 5 of this month already and while on
for example Pat Flynn on
smartpassiveincome.com shares his Monthly Income in his 'Success Journal' or
- Monthly Income Report - he frequently shares
impressive Income Breakdowns, In a somewhat similar way
I will give you my impressive rant :)

Top 5 APRIL:

1) discovered that I can create Pages on my blog(s).
(Making it possible to better organise the info on this Blog.)
2) made a file with product link codes (that I can use when writing posts.)
3) did add (replace) a new forum. (fastlane forum)
4) did discovered a few other possibly interesting partner programs.
5) did discover that on freelanceswitch.com it's possible to get
paid with Paypal for writing articles.

BTW the month before I discovered a few Q&A sites
that you might like to know about.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with
at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing
and maintaining these articles you can generate
as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely
to buy your product or get your services. If you can
generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website
in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on
the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very
difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires
a little time and an action plan on your part. Try to
use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs.
You can end maintaining a good source of income

decide what is the best buy.

Recently I had a look at a the Apple iPad Tablet (32GB, Wi-Fi) It made me to Instantly write a Mini Apple iPad Review for you because I must admit that with it's Touch Screen it was really easy to work with, and funny how when you hold it in 'Landscape' or 'Portrait' it flips over automatically! It made me wonder what's the best buy, an Apple iPad Tablet (32GB, Wi-Fi) or a Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology or Both? I think they probably both are Best Buy's. So I wondered what was the difference between all those 'Super Electronic Gadgets'.

I still am not sure if I already understand all the right details yet, although recently in a Magazine I read something about how e-reader are easier on the batteries and can go longer because it's more like a book and doesn't have to provide it's own light all the time. Photo's as 'Social Proof' for your Business.

I just wrote a Comment on a Blog about Blogging, and read in a Comment from somebody else on that same Blog, how in his Profession as a Garden Designer he made Photo's for Inspiration.

'This one of those home business ideas that
can give me new ideas...,'

That gave me a Fresh New Idea for a possible new (Guest?) Post(s) for my
digitalcamera-ideas Blog.
It also made me think about how some years ago, I helped to promote a
Business of a friend of mine with Photography.

Since there is No Business
Like Show Business!!!

What I did was making photo's of his Events. Using those photo's to create promotional materials from it also for his website and I also created a press release. The press release was published in a local newspaper, and I used that newspaper article (blown up to A3 with a copy machine) as a 'poster' creating - together with some of the other photo's - 'Social Proof'
for his Business.

Yesterday I looked at a (2 part) Video about Getting Traffic
(you can find the (part 2) Video at: Home Business Video about Getting Traffic) There they talk about something They Call The MoneyWordMatrix in the Video they talk about this technique to determine keywords or keyword phrases and how they perform in the Search Engines.

By Looking at the Number of Monthly Searches and the Number of Search Engine Results. (the competition) you can determine your chance of Success.

So with the help of this Matrix I determined a word that has a considerable
amount of monthly searches and relatively little Search Engine Results.
So this Post is an experiment about how I can reach people that are interested in a Travel and Home Business Lifestyle.

Realising Your Dreams with a Happy - Affiliate Marketing - HOME BUSINESS

Yesterday I bought a book titled: 'Dream Houses' with lots of photo's from stunning Family Houses since it's fun to do a little 'Dream Building' once in a while.

Although it sounds interesting and there are examples of people that really make a lot of money online it's not likely that everyone will make such amounts or will directly make 5,000 - 10,000 dollars a month, as there is simply too much competition. There is also no money that
will fall into your hands without you doing anything for it.

something of value'

With all that in mind, you'll find some high level tips
below that will help you make money with affiliate
marketing programs on the internet.

1. Google and Overture

Even though the days of free traffic aren't completely over, they are surely
fading away quickly. You can choose to work hard creating web pages that score
well in the search engines, although it's very hard to do.

By paying for clicks with Google and Overture, you'll have the top three positions on the search engines that matter the most. If you hope to generate web
traffic from Yahoo, all you need to do is be at the top of Google.

2. Your own email list

Sending offers to your very own email list is the ideal way to build freedom and residual income. Instead of sending traffic away then hoping for the best, you should instead have your own email list to which you are able to send multiple offers.

3. Your own affiliate program

If you knew that each filled out form on your site generated .50 cent in revenue, would you still be willing to pay someone else .25 cents to generate
that same traffic?

The most overlooked ways of generating traffic is having others generate it for you. There are many advantages to this method, including the fact that

In this conversation I was also telling about Sales techniques and about the several years experience in Sales. (BTW also worked as a Creative Sales Support employee at one of the Biggest Entertainment Companies in the world, that Inspired me to write the tiny little VISION e-Book about Success - that you might already have seen here at the top of this Blog -, a tiny little eBook that you can Preview for Free) Apparently without consciously aiming for it I was also '(pre)selling' my Sales Skills that way, since I was asked how I would feel about learning some of my Sales Skills to a companies Sales Team.

To Teach Or Not To Teach

Something that was funny since I already had been thinking about possibly writing an
e-Book Specifically about Sales Skills or to possibly even do some Public Speaking in this area. It's something that I only have been thinking about, since I haven't actually done it. It made me realise that being a skilled sales man, is something different than being a Sales Man that is able to teach Sales Skills.

Believe It Or Not !!!

Recently from a known 'Success Guru' I learned that it appears - from research, interviewing several successful people - For a lot of successful people being successful is very obvious to them. Asking them about how they do it is an other question, since most of the underlying belief systems they operate on seem to be operating on a much more subtle and sub-conscious level.

On a Subconscious level they simply seem to appear to have in their belief system more reasons to believe in their success than they have reasons NOT to believe in achieving success.

When I define a Belief as a thought
that I can find evidence for....,

Than since I have a lot of Sales experience and have enough evidence for
successful results, somehow I came to believe that I can relatively easy
make Sales and because of that usually make it happen.

'So WHY do I seem to be able
to relatively easy make sales?'

The answer might surprise you, or might even be shocking!!!

I DO NOT Focus on RESULTS

This might be confusing, since RESULTS are what you need to aim for right..?
NO, that's NOT what I aim for, I aim for making the Selling itself
Interesting and Enjoyable, not to pushy, just making them a little curious about what I have to say, (see the Secret of Successful Writing) just talking with people trying to find out if I can help them with the products or services that I can offer them,
BE-ing able to BE in the NOW, 'In the Zone'.

'O.K. that's basically it'.

Atleast that's a Sales Strategy that
works for me.

Any idea How I Discovered Affiliate Marketing while Creating a Home Business Lifestyle?

I wrote a tiny little eBook (I call it The VISION eBook) Currently it's only available as a downloadable one in PDF-format'.

As you can see on my TRAVEL Blog I like to write about Travel related topics, and I also have an other blog where I actually write about my own 'Travel Adventures' during my travel.
On that Blog I discovered advertising and noticed that the advertising money was going to somebody else than myself. That made me thinking....,

I thought:

'Mmmmm...., what if that advertising money
could flow into my direction?'

So since I had written this tiny little The VISION eBook and was in the proces of creating Blogs to promote this little eBook (and being able to receive feedback from readers that way) that thought - about being able to get the advertising money flow into my direction - kept going on in the back of my mind, and that was how I discovered a possibility to earn some extra money with advertising on my Blogs. That way while writing about intresting topics I like writing about, for example write about products that I bought myself and know something about and have experience with - in the process, at the same time - I was suddenly able to also (pre) sell 'Other Peoples Products' meaning, complementary or related products through Affiliate Marketing.

Did you Read one of my Recent Posts about 'The Branson-Way?'

In a recent post (31 July '10 Post) I wrote that (at the Beach) I was reading Richard Bransons Book titled: 'The Branson-Way' Richard Branson founder of the Virgin Group has grown to a Huge Multinational Company, in fact Branson has uniquely grown Multi Million Dollar companies in several different Industies!

I begun reading this book because once - years ago when I was in London - I saw this Huge Record Store Virgin Records, that made a big impression, especially the fact that there was an actual radio studio in the building itself caught my attention since I never seen such a Record Store that Big and different. So this different approach made me expect that Richard Branson might have interesting things to say about Entrepreneurship. Especially since years ago I worked in the Music Business myself, I was very curious about this book, althoug nowaday's Richard Branson operates in a lot of other Industries, like for example Transport. (both Train, Air & Space!)

As a matter of a fact I even discovered - when I read Millionaire Magazine - that Richard Branson also has for example a special resort in South Africa with Safari Loges, ten of them are ever build on the hill with like for example the Cliff Lodge Suite with a great view on the wildlife. Although the book has loads of very interesting background stories I sometimes found it a little overwhelming and had a little difficulty to keep track of what he was talking about, I guess that although I do have several different Blogs I am not somebody that operatates in several different Industries at the same time and operating at a Billion Dollar-level!. The parts about Virgin Records was easier for me to understand since it's an Industry that I already know something about and already have lots of background info about to be able to understand it more easily.

So I begun to read this book because I thought that Branson would have interesting things to say about Entrepreneurship, and he definitely has a lot of interesting insights to say about people, brand, delivering, learning from mistakes, innovation.

Only I haven't yet read the last two chapters like for example chapter 6 that's actually about Enterepreneurship & Leadership
The last chapter about Social Responsibility. is also something that you can hear him talk about in Richard Branson Satellite Interview

Currently I am still contemplating on possible practical applications for my online business....., Possibly the last chapters might give me some interesting new insights specifically about Entrepreneurship that might be usefull for practical application and after that I probably read and contemplate specific chapters, will let them sink in a little and might read them again especially at those times when I operate on a Billion Dollar level :)

Anyway,

Interesting detail in the book was that - as far as I understand - his name 'Branson' might be related to occupation of (Cattle) 'Branding'
And the Virgin Group definitely has done a great job
in 'Branding' whole Industries!

Joint Venture, for example a great JV-strategy could be to
'Swap each others content'

First of all it's a good thing to have a look at:

A great approach could be to do Affiliate Marketing a business without having to keep any inventory and that way not having to be at risk of not selling any of the products you invested your money in to get a return on investement.

You can do this by simply (Pre) Selling other peoples products, because
with Affiliate Marketing you just have to bring people to a webshop and when it becomes a sale, you get a commision, it's as simple as that. You don't have to keep inventory yourself, you don't have to have a special customer service department when there are problems with the delivery or things like that.

To answer this question, I would suggest Affiliate Marketing because I do think that that's one of the most 'Easy' way's to start making Money Online, with Affiliate Marketing you can start with selling other people's products online.

You can basically compare Affiliate Markting with the people you meet near the beaches on boulevards during your travel or vacation, the people that hand you a flyer or try to talk you into going to 'their' restaurant. In a somewhat similar way you
try to get people into the 'Shop' of an online business you partner with and
where you get your commisions from.
